❤️💙 THANK YOU, MRS. EMMA 💜💚 We are wishing the happiest farewell as it is Mrs. Emma’s last day with us here at MPPT. Saying goodbye is so hard, but we can’t help but to look back and smile at all of her accomplishments and memories made here 🥲. From every milestone she has helped achieved, she has poured so much love, patience, and hard work as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. We wish her the best of luck, as her future is very bright 🌟. 👩🏻‍🎓 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT 🎓 Meet Mackenzie, our newest PT student from MUSC! She has been learning from the best, Ms. Lara. Let’s get to know her a little more: “My name is Mackenzie and I am currently a 3rd year PT student at MUSC! I grew up in Greenville, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2024 (Go Gamecocks!). In my free time I love to play volleyball, hangout at the beach, and go on a run downtown. 🩺 DOCTOR & DENTIST WEEK 🦷 Our little healthcare heroes had a fun-filled week learning all about doctors and dentists! From role-playing and helping patients to “what should you do?” Scavenger Hunt, our kiddos practiced important life skills while having fun. 🏥💙 We also explored sand and germ sensory bins and used social stories to help make healthcare visits feel more familiar and comfortable. Brush those teeth and wash those hands! #ThemedActivities #PretendDoctor #PretendDentist

🧠 CLINIC HACK 🛠️ Who doesn’t love bubbles? With a little creativity, each department utilizes them in many different ways to target different skills. Here’s how they (and you) can utilize bubbles: Speech Therapy: practicing lip rounding, breath control, social communication, sound imitation, & requesting (more bubbles please!) Occupational Therapy: tracking, reaching, crossing midline, sensory regulation, attention and engagement, and bilateral coordination Physical Therapy: training coordination, balance, motor planning, and postural control, by blowing bubbles in different directions Bubbles are and amazing motivator and adds a fun element to each activity! #ClinicHack #Bubbles #TherapyTips

🌊 SURFER’S HEALING FOLLY 🏄 What an amazing day at Surfer’s Healing! Our team took the day to cheer on so many kids catching some waves and smiles. It was so cool to see the dedicated surfing teachers help these kids get to their feet and ride some therapeutic waves!
